Gaye Tuchman is an American sociologist.
Gaye tuchman biography books
She is a professor emerita of sociology at the University of Connecticut. Tuchman is best known for her 1978 book, Making News: A Study in the Construction of Reality, about the sociology of news production. She is a past president of the Eastern Sociological Society.
Early life and education
Tuchman grew up in Passaic, New Jersey.[1] She attended Passaic High School, where she was editor-in-chief of the school newspaper.[2] She earned an undergraduate degree in English and American Literature from Brandeis University in 1964.[2] She went on to earn master's (1967)
